Detroit 14l turbo squealing noise

Yes its going to be long weekend,but nice weather here in Florida!!
Well sense the Truck is from north Canada got my fingers cross on those studs.but i have fixed so many rusty bolts on this truck i’m pretty good at now lol
Wish i could get one piece aftermarket performance manifold for this but nobody makes it!!!

 

I lived in western NY until Nov 1996. I will not buy ‘northern rust’ since I have come to appreciate southern equipment.

Yeah. You will get zero results unless you do a pressure test.

 

did do the pressure test today. Didn't find any leaks.

 

Yeah just saw your videos. You buy the turbo locally? I would be taking it off and returning it for a replacement. But I know it’s not that easy when your truck can’t afford to be down another day

 

What you can do right now is pull the intake hose off and spin the impeller to make sure it’s not hitting the housing and check freeplay

 

Little leaks like that absolutely will not create that turbo issue you are having there

 

Yes turbo was from westernstar dealership.
I Did check the impeller.its not touching the housing.spins freely..and it had very little play.i’m guessing Thats normal??
