Detroit 14L turbo,vpod,actuator issue. or a sensor

If your egr is stuck open the chip wont help you.
I did all the work my self. I got the egr from a friends motor in shop for 100 bux. I got lucky because if I would of spent 1000 on egr and that was not the issue I would of been very pissed.
Just order that sensor for 130 bux over the net. That is what I have. It will make your truck perform alot better. Even with the issue I have, still I can drive it.

UPDATE:
changed turbo speed sensor, same crap. With the speed sensor unpluged throws check engine but does not cut off boost and the turbo does not squell.
I dunno I'm tired of this truck.

 

Wht the sensors called..are they for.EGR.
Also the sensor for turbo how do.i ask about that one speed sensor

its easy diagnosable.. but you can't without DDDL and pressure gauge...

 

Same issue here, solved,

1. Turbo Boost sensor = $35

2. Leak on CAC from torn hose = $150

3. Bad gasket on Turbo = $35

These are parts prices, labor....well, depends on who does it, if dealership, be prepared for about 12 hrs...but only the Turbo gasket (the others, you should be able to do) then 6-8hr....(they have to pull out the turbo to do it + you should take advantage of having the Turbo out and change the Manifold gasket as well).

 

Finally my mechanic figured the problem, it was a bad harness for the vpod. I heard to replace this twice because the first one which we got from freightliner was no good. thanks all

just left the mech. for black smoke comming out of my pipe, now i dont have any psi need help, just gave them 6000$ need help
