Detroit 60 12.7 Jake brake compatibility

If you have the 770 set and want to go to 795 you will have to change more than the jakes. The rocker arms are different as well. I have rocker arm sets as well. Not sure about the wiring part of that. I know it can be done because we did one about 15 years ago.

 

What do I need to change to switch my 795s to 765s?

 

Rocker arm assemblies and bolts. Possibly a different valve cover.

 

Thank you! I've been searching but can't seem to find a part number for the rocker arm assemblies that I can verify. Would you have part numbers for the assemblies and bolts?

 

I can try and figure it out but it might be a while. Got jobs lined up until March 2 at the moment.

Reman parts are going to be expensive. Are you going to try to find used?

Anyone have an idea of what Jake’s I need to put on my Detroit 12.7. Says the motor didn’t come out with them from factory.
