A Reman VPOD (Variable Pressure Output Device), Detroit Diesel Series 60, EGR
R23536834. Price includes refundable core charge of $140.00
During engine EGR operation, the VPOD provides modulated air pressure to the pneumatic actuators
which change the VNT vanes and EGR valve positions. -

Sputtering and coughing may not be the issue. If you haven't run the rack in a while, then do it. Be prepared to get a wheelbarrow of money for what they might find. -

I had the same issue turned out to be bad injector and bad injector wiring harness. Also double check your turbo. I had to replace mine for a different problem and turbo was checked by 4 mechanics and all said it was working properly. I changed it and bam problem fixed! Buy turbo with actuator already calibrated by the way.

Okay thanks
