I have a 2008 kenworth t2000 with the isx, I am just tired of the cost to keep with the repairs on this engine, can a 1998 12.7 be swapped in place of the isx ? Thanks for the input.

no, it is illegal to alter the emissions system, and illegal for the shop to do it, so finding a shop to do it would be hard.

that truck has to be 08 or newer emission compliant. and if it wasnt illegal...to make that swap would be pretty expensive, changing electronics, motor mounts, ect...or even a swap to a compliant 12.7,14L, or acert

thats why gliders are legal, they never had an emissions system to alter.

Looking at a 2004 Freightliner Columbia with a Detroit 12.7. Truck has 1m miles and the asking price is 13500. Does the 2004 have the EGR?
