I'm leaning towards the 28SI Pro series alternators found HERE at the bottom of the page.
They seem to be priced right, as long as they will mount up and the shaft size, and pulley spacing is correct.
Keep in mind that you'll need to use 2/0 cable from the alternator to the power distribution point if you will be using the max alternator output (say, powering a fully loaded 3000 Watt inverter with the engine running). You'll melt the stock cable's insulation and burn down the truck, otherwise.

Just checked out the unit you are looking at, looks pretty good. Quite a chunk of money but it says it has dual cooling fans in it, I do like the lightweight design, keeping it cool is the key alright . Maybe it would last double of these other styles and the money would come out right without changing out as often. Looks good, thanks for the lead.

Ya I see what you were asking on the mount , yes J-mount on mine, the newer Cummins motors are different, I keep forgetting it isn't 1997 anymore and all the new stuff is set up completely different. Learn more each day.

Problem was as follows:
1. Couldnt find the EXACT size pulley diameter I had on the rig and I wasnt sure if was even OEM.
KW didnt have the sold gold pulley in stock, so I couldnt look.
2. Truck Pro had 2 dual-groove pulleys. One was slight larger and one was slightly smaller.
I went with the slightly smaller one for two reasons...
A. They sold many of those vs the other size.
B. I didnt have a problem spinning the alternator a bit faster..as long as one considers the overall MAX RPM the pulley
will do with the alternator.
In my case, I made it complicated I guess....but I just want something with a bit more AMPS. The microwave I have now, pulls
almost 100A when running....Junkyard Johnney Thanks this.
