I'm totally clueless what VPOD and VGT are. Guess i've never had a problem with it but I'll research that and find out more about it. Also thanks alot BoxCarKidd, you've helped me out a lot of times on here.

So VPOD is a variable pressure output device.
VGT is a variable geometry Turbo.
The ECM ( engine control module ) receives input from various sensors on the engine and turbo.
The ECM then evaluates the various sensor inputs and then sends an output signal to the vpod.
The vpod then takes this signal and turns it in to a measured air pressure signal.
The air pressure is then sent thru an air line to the turbo actuator which in turn opens and closes the vanes inside the turbo to a specific setting programmed in the ECM.Rideandrepair, spsauerland, OldeSkool and 1 other person Thank this. -
Do you have the signature14.0 liter VGT turbo hissing noise at idle?
It should have this if it is working correctly.Last edited: Feb 17, 2020
