Delivered in Battle Creek Monday morning, then it was up to Wyoming, MI to pick up what should have been a preloaded trailer, but ended up being a live load because it wasn't ready when I got there. That load was supposed to drop at Kellogg in Breinigsville, PA (pd miles706) today by noon, but when I got there, they told me the load wasn't scheduled and they wouldn't take it. So Swift had me T-call it at the Jonestown terminal, which is where I am now. I had a bolt removed from one of my drive tires, and am now relaxing for the rest of the day. I asked my DM for tomorrow off. It's supposed to be nice weather, and I'd like to do some hiking. So my PTA is set for 07/01 0700.

Got a preplan yesterday morning to pick up a trailer there on the yard at Jonestown and take it to Norwood, MA for a live unload (pd miles 356). The yard was a mess and it took me about 20 minutes to even find the trailer, and when I did find it, I had to wake up another driver who had parked his truck right in front of it and tell him to move. :biggrin_25510: By the time I got hooked up and left, I had to hustle to have any hope of getting there ontime. And I didn't succeed. My appt was 1530 and I got there at about 1545. [at this time a fellow we all know as REDD came over and introduced himself to me. And if you're wondering, yes he really does have red hair:biggrin_2559:] Guess I shouldn't have stopped at that rest area in New York for a potty break.:biggrin_25526: Fortunately, though, the consignee unloaded me promptly even though I was late. Then it was a battle with rush hour traffic to get somewhere I could park safely and legally (which turned out to be a service plaza on the turnpike- there aren't many truck stops around big cities).

They sent me a preplan last night, but I couldn't make the pickup ontime, so I turned it down. I didn't get another until this morning. I pick up a preloaded trailer in Raymond, NH and deliver in Norwood, MA (again) at 1800 this evening (pd miles- 146).

    You must really enjoy Norwood!

It was a pleasure meeting you. Although it was an extremely short visit before I had to split! I still have that image of your face & I called you out by name!!

I'm heading to Birmingham! Everyone have a safe weekend!!!

Good luck to you Charlesmith! I suppose you are going to Millington. Get plenty of rest, pay attention in class and on the range, make sure all your ducks are in a row, and have fun. Believe it or not, you can have fun and meet some really great people in school.
