lake station, in trucks cuts off when it hits 60mph so I'm waiting to get in the shop. saw something interesting yesterday. was instructed to stop into a yard in illinois to pick up a ifta sticker. once on this yard i seen rows and rows of new international trucks. i assume these were our future new trucks. anyway it's been a slow horrible week and i'm ready to go home atleast to my home city were i'll be looking for a new place to live since my family life has changed to a single life. -
Dont worry, youre not the only one having a bad week. I have 1278 miles since Sunday Night(now is Thursday night) and a 62% idle time(which will be into the 70s tomarrow morning). It was thanks to one of the most unproductive, horribly planned, time wasting loads that Ive ever had the displeasure of pulling. First they told me to tcall it in Carleton...causing me to breathe a sigh of relief, then a few hrs later they said to go ahead and deliver the mess.
Is there a new drop yard in IL or is this where theyre keeping the trucks? -
guess it's were there storing the trucks. forgot to mention there was no ifta stickers. so now they got me up here in grand rapids to get a ifta sticker and pm then i'm going home (flint) to appear in court on monday. i think i put in 1200 mile this week...maybe -
o.0 I've never had a single payday issue, the offical payday is fridays. Three last paychecks of 09 were delivered Thursday, because they wanted to get the Gainey Transport stuff all done for 09 so they didnt need to do 2 W2s this year, they wanted all pay for Gainey Corp to be in 09. Now all pay is GTS Transportation LLC.
Aside from that I always get mine Friday. Somtimes at 12:01 AM sometimes at 6 AM but always before opening Friday. Could be you are in a different timezone? Remember they are eastern. So if they deposit at 12 am eastern its 11 pm cst, and so on. -
Really enjoyed the post longbed. Looks like I'll be starting with them next monday. Not looking forward to orientation, but at this point I'm just happy to have a job. One question though, how long does the batteries last without idling? Do they allow power inverters?
-
Yes, GTS allows inverters up to 1500 watts, I believe.
Good luck! -
Can anyone tell me about LCT Transportation? They're supposed to be part of Gainey. Need to hear from any of their drivers or any Gainey drivers who know anything about them as I'll be talking to an LCT recruiter on Monday and we all know the tales of true Nirvana that come from any recruiter. Thanks.
-
Well, I'Ve been with GTS now for about two weeks, and although The miles aren't good, there not bad either. about 2200 a week thus far. haven't seen a paycheck yet, except for the 150 for orientation, but should get one this friday. I just hope I can last that long without getting another advance.
After Orientation they issued me a Kenworth T600,I didnt like it at all, told my manager, and whalla! he had me transfer to a Freightliner Columbia. Happy with that. The DM Seems to want to work with you on getting problems resolved. More than I can say for the last company I worked for.
Will post again when I get a chance. have to wait till I find free wifi somewhere before I can post.
Twisted turtle Thanks this.
