bad day, very bad day. i learn things the hardway. and what've learn is don't seek out bbq from unknown places, as i pulled out of hull hope, al i came across a truck stop near a bbq joint so after seeing a bbq cook off on the food network i was craving bbq ribs. so i went to this place and got me a order of ribs and chowed down.....12hours later i'm sick as a dog puking my guts out and got the shakes&chills.
was able to make my run and deliv it here in carlisle, pa but i had to have dispatch pull a pplan off me because i need some time to let this sickness run it's cycle then i can role again.
later gators.

This week started terribly making my first pickup late Monday night...but its ending on a great note. Ive got 3012 miles now and still have a few hundred miles to go before the week ends for me(Sun night). Next week will be starting crappy due to my 4 stop load. NY, PA, CT, and the final in MA. I want EZ Pass!!!! -
i want ez pass to.

so what your all sayin Gainey is a sucky company to work for??????????
-
speakin for myself only. GTS (not gainey...gainey is no more) GTS is a good company to work for. had some slow weeks but the miles have picked up and my dm never ever bothers me. all i ever wanted from a company just give me good miles and leave me alone. -
Hey you're lucky I cannot get mine to quit talking to me! JK
I love my dispatcher lol, he's a great guy. I even have his cell and can get a hold o fhim on the weekends/nighttime if I need. -
My main complaints are no EZ Pass and no APU since alot of states have established anti trucker laws. Their empty and loaded miles are never accurate either.
In closing, GTS is a decent company to work for.
BTW, solo driver idle has been raised from 25% to 40%. Thats the first change Ive seen trickle down to the driver since the company changed hands. -

my idle time has been around 55 57% and i keep getting those stupid message from the fuel department to try to reduce my idling. but it seems i'm always in the coldest states or a state thae not suppose to be cold like texas, louisana and that freak snow storm they had i was in it and the dallas yard.
l'm hoping the new trucks when they come in will have the apu units.....hopefully. -
Ive gotten them from day one. They are just cookie cutter messages about idle time/MPGs. Not once have I had a personal message about idle time/MPGs or had a phone call from the fuel dept(Maurice). Ive heard other drivers have gotten calls though.
