I've got my time in, I just need to get the ball rollin to mentor. Maybe when I get back to Phx on hometime ill see if they will allow me to mentor.. been thinking bout is lately, some company in the truck would be nice.
I don't know how you mentors do it. Personally I like being alone. Heck I mined gold in Alaska last season for 6 months and saw 2 people. I was in heaven. Hence, I will never be a mentor. As long as I can bring home $400 a week to pay bills, I am happy. Money is not important to me, I have already lost everything I owned and don't want to get back to accumulating stuff. So as long as Swift can get me enough miles to earn $400 a week, I will be happy.
We do it well because It's fun and we get to abuse the students... You know we never have to fuel up, never open the doors, never slide tandems or Unhook from trailer Basically keep our cheeks nice and warm while the student gets out in minus 20.... Gotta love it when you stick your head out the window and ask student is it cold out there? Not in here it's nice and warm..... And have some fun when student tries to take out everything on his right. Basically I would go crazy now if I was solo...It's a ton of fun and sometimes scary as well. But you meet a lot of new people and the first week is a blast as I get to have fun watching them screw up..... But in the end you have trained a student you feel comfortable with and you gain a new friend. It's hard work but you get rewarded in the end.. Watching them go from the first week to the last week is great. seeing how much they improve on their driving.. . By the way I am here in Lancaster but the shop won't install until Monday....
I sent you a PM.... I can fax them the letter from all the big wigs ok'ing the install... I have it in my possession.... let me know if you need it.
Don't forget you offered!!! I'm ju$t getting my duck$ in a row and a molar implanted -- it takes 8 month$$$!!! Might be done by July (take care of them choppers young bloods!!! I had Swift and Pride on my sights until I learned that PriDE wants TWELVE weeks training and they start at 25c a mile...
Hahahahahaha!!!! I new it was going to be rough, but thanks for telling it like it is... good thing I am training in 110 degree weather... I think?
