    BBMan,
That's more of a personal/workplace issue, one that cannot be found in the usual range of background checks that are more geared to criminal and health records that you allow the release of. As far as a bad reference, any employer who answers the question, "Is this person eligible for re-hire?", with anything other than yes or no is opening themselves to enormous lawsuit liability. The people who check employment history are (usually) professional enough to ignore anything other than the yes/no answer. List only your employment from-to dates, the name of your supervisor and the phone number and that is all.

I dont think they report on a dac, its a school system, I dont think the HR would even know what the DAC is, But just in case I will tell her about it..and I also sent off to Hire right a request for my free DAC report, so maybe if anything is on there I will also see it...and just to set it straight, I did not herass that women, it was (as i have heard) a pre planned attempt by her and the union president to get me terminated, due to the fact that I led a compaign to recall both of them due to them bullying other employees and filing false charges against another employee for theft, because she would not turn over private snack money to the union.. I do not tolerate someone who bullies females and younger employees..but i digress that is neither here nor there..or have anything to do with why I want to become a truck driver, just an incident that happened..

BTW, met Gold Miner when we came in off road training yesterday at lunch. Nice guy and seems to have a good crew in his class.

My class had our DPS road tests today and all passed. We started with 19 and 10 finished. Home terminals will be OKC for one, Lancaster for seven and Laredo for myself and one other. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone considering school. They have great instructors who truly care about what they are there to teach.

Thanks Cav, I have seen the form that they send, and it asks are they eligible for rehire yes or no, then why... but i agree when I used to be the manager at Pizza hut we were not allowed to say anything other than yes or no they did or did not work there, the dates they did, and if they quit or were fired, nothing more. I guess my question is if they check the box for NO not eligible, will that get me sent home.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention we spent most of the day on logbooks and hours of service. Pretty interesting, I thought.

Frank, it was great to meet you, hope we run across each other on the road. I also am having a great time in school. Swift training is great so far and I recommend it from what I have seen as well.

You will go to a random orientation terminal from what I am told. Basically you go to a terminal that has orientation, then they hook you up with mentor.

    BBman,
All of the schools have an administrative person who you will spend the first day with filling out a few trees worth of paper. They know every detail that will either get you a bit of stink eye or bounced right back out the door. Call the school you will be attending and ask that person. My best guess would be the answer is no; most people know unions suck primarily for the problems you encountered.
