I read a few articles awhile back and it had some innovations that were interesting, they did not ever say were it was built.
For your information Cat was dropped by Freightliner because no one was buying them and they would not pay the true cost of warranty repairs.
You can buy a Cummins in a Freightliner. I was at their site yesterday, looking at the Hybrid they were building for Walmart.

I'm no fan of the Cascadia, I'd much rather have a Century Class. The Cascadia weighs more than that Century and have 400k miles, the truck has alot of rattes and vibration. Longevity wise, both may not be as good as a Pete as far as rattles go, but the Century class is a far superior truck.

Not only that, I'm sure it was cheaper to get a Freightliner with a Detroit since both are owned by the same company.

I'm trying to know about best engines for EPA 2010. I haven't tried any truck with SCR. The only truck I tried with EPA 2010 is 2011 International Prostar with Maxxforce 13 455 HP. It uses advance EGR. That truck runs OK. The truck had some minor issues but so far, everything goes well. I own 2004 Kenworth T600 with CAT C-15 Single Turbo 500 HP. The fuel mileage is 6.58 MPG.

For my advice, try to take glider kit trucks. Freightliner, Peterbilt, and Western Star offer those trucks. Freightliner offers Columbia and Original Coronado. All glider kit trucks used reman engines. You may any engine you want for those trucks. They 30% cheaper than newer trucks with current emission. Peterbilt offers 386, 388, and 389.

Ford and Mack don't count to be glider kit trucks.

My advice looks like busted because with 2011 prostar is actually 2012 with Maxxforce 13. The engine smoked and exploded at 250,000 miles. I got it replaced with 2012 Freightliner Cascadia with Detroit DD15 with SCR. It runs better than prostar and has more space than prostar.

While Russia unveil Kamaz 5490, CAT launched CT660. I would rather take with Cat CT15. It's a modified Maxxforce 15 and also former CAT c-15.
