Many of us don’t have a choice, I being one of them. I drive what they give me.

I'm fixing to remove my APU. It's never worked. Dead weight taking up space that could be used for a nice side box.

My 2017 truck no APU and does automatic parked regeneration. It had the Optimized Idle, the computers start emgeng for a/c or heat or charging the batteries or engine oil temperature.

So far 224,000 miles no problems yet. It takes about 6 hour of engine time before the computers do a parked regen. It only takes 20 minutes at 1350 RPMs. I do 34 resets every weekend and usually do 1 parked regeneration. Maybe 2 in the summer heat because a/c needed and that more idle time.

I let the computers shift the grears and automatic parked regen ! I just need the computers to drive the truck next

    Lepton1 and PantherFan Thank this.

I drive a daycab freightliner with the auto 10 speed. After 300k they seem to slip feels like you have been rear ended. I learned shifting the truck manually at about 1700 rpm every gear makes them shift smooth with no bucking. Seems like they like high rpm

OMG finally someone else has the same problems. I have a brand new 2019 cascadia with almost every option. But this D12 ruins it. Constant buzzing in Morris code really drives me butz too.

This 2019 is the same way. 30 days old . I cant stand it. Who programs these things ? It's as blank as a fart. Engine and D12 automatic do not work together at all.. Volvo is way ahead on drivability .this is a joke
