No debate involved, Either he understands the facts as presented or does not. No skin from me either way.

I shower barefoot whenever I shower. I lose my balance with something on my feet. It really throws me off.

And the only place I have had a problem was at a Swift terminal, which is why I will never shower at a terminal again. They do not clean them nearly enough.
But I have never had a problem at a major truck stop.

And where does the debate part come in?
I made a comment, which he replied to. There has been no debate.

My company gave me one of these. It was a nice truck, I put almost 30k on it and learned to finesse the the throttle to drive it within the first 5k. It was my first automatic ever. The performance settings are great if you can get the company to change them. The Economy settings suck IMO.
I got sick of the economy settings and swapped trucks with another driver who really wanted one of the automatics (we only have 2 of them). I got a 2019 Columbia glider with only 20k on it and he got my 2019 Cascadia with 30k on it.
If they changed the economy settings, I would have been happy with the truck and kept it. The economy mode settings weren't conducive to the type of driving I do in the conditions I drive in. I drive a lot of "skinny" roads where jake brakes are not allowed with speed limits that kept the truck in neutral most of the time and manual shift mode was disabled.

Ok, from the responses I am apparently an uneducated clown that's never driven an automatic D12 ..
No and yes..this is the first D12
I bought a volvo w/ test evaluation unit with the forerunner to assisted shifts way back in 97. I love detroits and I knew the parameters forward and backwards, changing them with the box countless times during trips to find the best setup for the fleet. I know it's not supposed to be acting like this . I was hoping others had the same issue and a fix without putting it in the shop half a dozen times.
The only time I ever drove this combo was a 300mile jog picking up a new 2015 . The trans didn't make any of these flatulence noises or stubble around looking for gears. And bobtail is when this 2019 is at it's worse.
Anyway I guess I will take it in today. I was hoping to get more dialog other than watch a video.... but maybe these kids are right,, I'm too old to assimilate with the technology and need to leave .

thanks for the help .... I'll go to the stealership.

Yes take it do the dealership if things are not right. They have techs that are supposed to have a clue. They may even have something about those noises in the diagnostic tree.........

This was originally a thread started in the "new drivers" section, not the help me fix my truck section. I would suggest dropping a private message to @ravaughn to see if/how they got the problem fixed........ but last activity was over a year ago so would not expect a response.

Took it in ... they said that the loud buzzing was normal . Garage was a day behind . So we started the Detroit link thingy so it can be monitored on the road and when I come back next month , they want go put a different pre packaged program/tune in for the transmission .
All the parameters are already open for O/O , but there are supposedly several configurations/modes other than Idiot Proof ,,

Thanks for the update @basketcase64. When you get to the decision point, Would you be willing to post up a list of the factory parameter choices they give make available to you?

Which make and year model transmission do you have? I’ve never heard a DT12 with any sort of a “loud buzzing” noise
