There seems to be a shortage of people willing to drive for 25 cents per mile ... otherwise you are correct there is no driver shortage. As I posted before in this thread I got my start through C1 in Fort Wayne and never worked for the company that was supposed to have paid for my training. Nobody has ever approached me about paying the 6K for the schooling. If you've got a CDL all you need to do is find a job, unfortunately it will be in one of those 25 cent per mile seats. Sorry but that is how most people have to get started in this business.

Still waiting on this info. Why'd Dan Kee reject you? Now, I will say this...having met and corresponded with Mr. Kee several times, he shouldn't be making these decisions. He's not an honest businessman.

NOT COOL. I called PAM and talked to Tasha. She tells me that it's "Company Policy" not to tell me. So...You've just Screwed me out of $6000 and you can't even tell me WHY?! This is B.S. Every chance I get, I'll tell EVERYONE to stay away from these people. Eff them!

Of course. I've been applying all weekend, and got called back from TMC and Werner. I still want to know what happened with PAM though, so that if there IS a mistake that I made, I don't make it again. Or if there is some misunderstanding Not to mention that they've screwed me out of six grand

JBS, out of Atlanta office, offered to "pre-pay" school which, being later deducted from pay at some "reasonable" rate, is ultimately still owed BY YOU whether you indeed wind up working for them or not.

(ps: if u already 'ave ur CDL CR England has a 10 day "Advanced/Refresher" course one can take for a $70 admin fee . . . )

Sorry to hear that. It is better to put it in the past and look forward to your future. You got calls from places....that is great news, and to answer your response of why you got turned down is because you are in a probationary period. They can dismiss you for any reason, and they don't have to tell you why. Take your mistake by going with PAM, and look forward to your future.

I don't understand why you keep saying you got screwed out of $6k You obviously want to drive a truck for a living right? So how else where you going to get a CDL? I guess there are much cheaper ways of getting a CDL if you have those type connections but I'm guessing if you did you would have used them instead. So you're starting out like the majority of us have in present time and that's going to a school then searching for a job. Your not screwed out of the money it's money you would of had to spend or finance anyway to get your CDL. They did you a favor being locked to a company to pay for school ain't good. Now you have the freedom to go where you want to and leave is you so choose.

Because that's twice as much as it should cost. and I've spent the last year building up credit so that I could buy a house This job was supposed to help me save money for a down payment but with $6,000 potential negative credit, that's going to hurt.
