Then tell them $3000 for 3 days. Make it worth your time. Its either they unload you, or you get paid for your time, or you take it back.... its their choice.
But.... dont tell/threaten anything you arent willing to stand behind. If they tell you to take it back or get paid "X" amount for your time, you better be willing to do so.

They ordered the stuff and are not ready,,Should you be the one holding the bag? Have them find a cross dock that can hold it and deliver it when they want. You are not a warehouse unless compensated for it.

Start looking for storage facilities. But if the broker will not pay to hold it, then take it back and charge for the return trip.

I have eaten money for principles several times. I feel better for sure. I don't think about the lost money...I only think about and remember the POS who tried to tell ME what to do with MY truck and MY time.
