I just did mine when I was home last.

Cost was $2 In/Out in 10mins. Helps I live in a small town in Misery and it was not busy.

The best way to answer that is to give you a ling to the regs, as posted. Here it is;http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/registration-licensing/cdl/cdl-general-info.aspx

i called, figured i still had time to take care of it if something wasn't right, as the 1st of the year is the deadline. but everything was good, they checked for me and said i was good until 2015 when my med card expires then id have to re-submit.

it seems to me they should send you a confirmation back in the mail. but i guess ND does not.

I registered my card a few months ago, I also just renewed my physical card the end of Oct. and I forgot to get the new card filed as I just had done that ( but on the old card ) I got a call today that my cdl was suspended due to no physical on file, I had to go to the DMV and bring my
Soc Sec card, DL, birth cert, and some other items

Not a big deal as I was home anyway but it could have been a lot worse and had I remembered in the first place I could've done it simply online

    baha Thanks this.

I got notice from Louisiana DMV that mine was coming due and I had to get it renewed then take it to them so they could make note of it. Had to fill out another paper along with it. I asked when they started doing it and said this was the first year. "Its not only a PITA for you guys but for us as well." Her exact words. So now we not only have to go in every 4 years (Louisiana law) to renew our CDL but now have to go every 2 or less (depending on the length of your medical card) just to prove the #### thing is good. What a PITA, but at least they notify you 60 days in advance by mail before it expires and we have a 10 day grace period after the expiration date to show it to them. Thank god I'm still getting 2 year cards as where one company I worked for gave me a one year card.

Florida let you do it online, I would check if your state has an online option, I just forgot about it and they email you it's due but when they checked mine today they had the email incorrect
