Diesel #1 vs #2 gel points in winter. Whats the difference?

    My Company's policy is very simple. Regardless of where you purchase your fuel, if there is even the slightest chance of cold weather, add anti-gel! Do not worry about over treating.....dump the whole bottle in your tanks. We pay for it.......use it....a $20.00 bottle of anti gel is a hell of a lot cheaper than the Towing, Repair and Downtime for a gelled truck. I just do it. I don't want to be the Driver that has to explain why I didn't do it!

    I bought fuel one time in wisc when it was really cold and it was supposee to be blended fiuel and I didnt even get 100 feet and the truck was gelling. Had to get fuel filters changed right there to go on.
