Has anyone ever built their own rotating diesel engine stand? Who offers a good and affordable, stand to buy? I know it’s far from necessary to have to have a rotating stand but it sure seems nice.

I've spent some time looking into this. I couldn't find one-not under $6k anyhow. Not worth it to me for using only 1 time, maybe 2. The shop I go to places an engine on jack stands.

Build one using and old landing gear leg shell with the gear box on it so you can use it to roll it over.
RubyEagle, mile marker 27 and kemosabi49 Thank this. -

No pic yet but this is what I’ve been rolling around in my head for awhile. I have the parts and an 855 Cummins to use as a mock up. Just need the time to “engineer” it. I was also thinking about making it with a steel skid bottom so it can be moved around with a pallet jack or forklift or chained down to a deck for transport with a full tilt engine on it. If you beat me to it remember were you got the idea when you apply for the patent. Lol.
