Why would you have diesel fuel in a water bottle? Something doesn't sound right.

You need to degrease the locking jaws on your 5th wheel, so you drain down the fuel water separator into a water bottle. You don't use it all, so toss it in the side box to reapply in a few days.

It actually wasn't diesel. It was Howe's anti-gel. It smelled just like diesel so I just wrote "diesel". I buy the biggest one and then fill the water bottle. I have the water bottle marked off at the 16oz and 32oz levels so I could put in exact amounts without having to guess whenever I had to use it. I've done this for years in the winter. I must have not closed it snugly after using it. It was one of my usual follies. It ain't easy being me.

    Most of us just guess.

It's not a science that needs to be exact.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but you might have her use coffee grounds in it and run a cycle. Then I would use the vinegar. Might use an Ionic air purifier as well. That could work but you will need one of the higher end ones. I have one that I put in smelly areas and it will kill all the smell.

I wash my work clothes in detergent with baking soda to kill the diesel stank, and when my jeans are especially nasty after pump loads, they get a soak in a bucket with that same mix overnight before washing.
Dryer sheets seem to kill the diesel aroma inside the truck, especially gain flavor.

Try Oxyclean with a load of old bath towels.

The unstoppable washer beads work pretty good too.
