Unless Werner was looking to put a nail in the coffin and say THIS is why you are fired.
Like Werner needs a reason... -
I didn't want to pile on, but since everyone else is. I went from a 2010 Freightshaker with no DEF, to a 2014 Freightshaker with DEF. I didn't know what it was, so I went to the mechanics and made them explain how to fill it. Went to fuel desk and asked when I could fill, if limited like truck fuel or if we can fuel whenever like refer fuel, asked for two bottles of it to carry on my truck and then, I feel like I still didn't know enough so I went to owners manual and consulted it, and finally fully understood it when I had to do a parked regen. I first read this I couldn't believe someone would do that, or that it could even be done. But we also had guys putting diesel additive in there too, so I don't know. I'm not with Werner either so if guys are doing the diesel additive I guess not a stretch to believe diesel could go in there.

I was at Hill Bros for a very short time,I had to quit cause I got sick.Anyway I was issued a beautiful spacious trk and noticed 2 gauges so I asked a driver and he told me one was DEF.I had no clue what that was ive never drove a vehicle with Def tank.So he helped me for an hr explaining the def and where in the yard to get that which the mechanics do.It is the drivers responsibility to ask questions even if the company never mentioned it.Who knows I could have easily done what Tonka did.Heck I even asked how the APU worked,I never had that either all the yrs ive been driving.

I have no reason to lie man.
But I can tell you for sure, that consistency is not Werner's forte. Procedures for the same things are different in different terminals (including orientations).
-
I absolutely agree. And possibly less down time for the truck in this case.
-
He. I will let you know if I do get fired.
-
There are no codes showing (if you are referring to codes, lights, etc. on the dash).
-
Anyways, to the people following the thread - still waiting in San Antonio, they will start working on the truck Monday the earliest. 9 days and counting.

I meant before you got the 6k repair..... When you went to the dealership was the check engine or emissions- dpf light on?
