    They who, Freightliner or Werner?

I can't be sure about Werner, but Freightliner took 7 days to look at the truck. They were busy (or so I was told).

I needed service at a Peterbilt dealership in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan last summer and the earliest they could have looked at the truck was one week from the date I showed up without an appointment. I don't know what it's like over there but if it seems really busy I wouldn't worry about Werner "playing you" or letting you go. Obviously they want the truck back on the road making money, I highly doubt they'd be keeping a truck off the road just to prove some kind of point.

    tonakis Thanks this.

I see what you are saying, it just doesn't make any sense - why would they do that? Like Everywhereman said above your post, it wouldn't make financial sense for the company, for the fleet mgr (he gets paid from drivers' performances), and for me of course. And why, just to make me feel bad? I think the problem is that when a company is so big, communication has to go through numerous channels, people, phone calls, emails... All this beaurocracy messes it up and slows it down big time.

Man, depending on where you are, that's the deal. I called a freightliner dealership on a saturday and told them I was broke down at a rest stop about 10 miles away......they said they could get to it on wednesday...no lie

I think the costs of a financed power unit not running would far outweigh anything gained by "caning his butt".
