Think that was so post to have been a comma ? Or was the bill $6.90?

For that kind of money, I wonder if you could flush it out yourself, then just get the codes reset?

    This thread is SO old.
Sdaniel, do you mean 'supposed' as opposed to 'so post'?
In America we use a comma, but in some countries they use a dot.
If you are going to correct someone, at least your post should not contain even worse errors.

And how does one put diesel fuel in a DEF tank?
The nozzle won't fit and it would be splashing everywhere but in the DEF tank.

That would mean removing the DEF tank, as well as all the lines, and then using the proper cleaning methods to remove all traces of the diesel fuel.

I really doubt many drivers could to that.

    uncleal13 Thanks this.

No. Once it goes through the decomp tube/DEF doser, then through the SCR, all of that is toast.

It would mean a lot more than that. If you caught it and didn't drive it, then you could get by with just replacing the DEF tank and sending unit... once the oil cycles through, you're looking at DEF lines, the DEF doser.. you MIGHT be able to salvage the decomp tube, but that and all exhaust tubing to the SCR will have to be thoroughly cleaned of any oil residue, and the SCR will have to be replaced.

ajohnson, uncleal13, tucker and 2 others Thank this.
