I specifically looked EVERYWHERE on the pump for instructions. I consider myself an educated person, and yet, I guess it happens in the best of families.
As for the how I fit the nozzle in the DEF tank - I just told you I am educated/creativeI think it's come to the point that I will laugh about it.
Meanwhile, got a room at the crappiest motel I have ever stayed at anywhere I have been in the world.

I don't know yet if that means they will not fire me

If they have to replace the engion,doubt you'll be laughing.A gallon may not be much but the fact that you drove it that way for 500 miles could have done some serious damage.

Pattyj, not that kind of laugh. I don't want to think what could be cause I will go crazy.
And yes, still with Werner. Few more monthsn till June.

patty .....Relax ,def is in the exhaust stream. ECM killed the power, the engine is fine. The def system not so much....... -
so before anyone says "well Werner...", they can just shove it right now cause Werner didn't just hand me the keys to nothing and tell me to get hooked or gone.

Everything's fine and dandy, don't get worked up. As I mentioned I drove 5 trucks, 2 with trainers and the one in question is the third on my own. None of the previous ones with DEF.
And as a lot of people here know, there is no consistency of any sort in the big companies, Werner or not. Same thing with trainers. No two are the same and teach you the same things and even worse - the same way. Consider yourself lucky.
I am going in for a shower. (TMI, I know. Just bored out of my mind)
