Hey guys, this might be the wrong forum or area to post, but I'm in diesel tech school & I can't afford buying snap on tools. I'm curious to know whats a good set of craftsman tools to purchase as a entry level diesel technician? I'm going to be working on commercial trucks. I already have about $2,000-$3,000 worth of standard/compact craftsman tools from all my project cars I have built, but I think ill be needing some larger tools to get some of the work done. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find a package to purchase online.

Yes I'm excited myself. I'm going to get certified for Cummins and I been practicing for my ASE. A classmate of mine got certified for diesel engines & he said majority of the questions have a lot to do with egr stuff

I don't care what anyone says but You DO NOT have to buy Snap On tools! Some are really nice to have but are usually not worth the extra money. I myself have Kobalt tools for wrenches, whatever works for air tools and various other brands. If you are starting out there is no need to jump in and run up a big account on the tool truck. Take your time and save your money for now. Eventually you might work your way up buying high dollar stuff but don't get in a rush.
d o g Thanks this.
