I have a dsp41 diff in a 07 pete. It has 3 way locks (inter axle and rear diff lock). When I engage the rear diff lock only one side spins and I can hear a very faint ticking inside the diff. Its been like this since I got the truck 2 years ago. Do the air cylinders ever stick or seize up? Can I remove it from the side of the diff and see if it moves freely? What else could it be? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Diff lock not engaging?

Someone could have engaged it while spinning and tore the dog teeth off the sliding clutch. Or it could be an actuator issue. More than likely if you're hearing the ticking its the sound of damaged or rounded off teeth slipping.
