1650 to 1700 torque will not be a problem.
I do not like Solo clutches due to past history. When I was replacing a clutch in a Volvo my supplier recommended not changing to and easy pedal in this application ( Volvo with a hydraulic system. Said they have had problems. ) Followed their advise and put in a Mid America reman Solo. That was two years ago.
I would only use a Mid America or new Solo.
Difference between 1650 torque and 2050 torque clutch

So if this clutch that i’m trying to buy it, you are saying if it’s reman not to buy it, but only if brand new? And if i want to buy reman to but from Mid America ?
Thank you -
I don't know how anyone else feels about it but I would only put a brand new genuine Eaton Fuller clutch in my truck.
Vampire, Rideandrepair, Roberts450 and 3 others Thank this. -
RoadRanger I have put in a lot of clutches. A lot of folks want to buy their own parts and save money. They can cut the pie anyway they want but if the clutch they bought fails it is their clutch. If it was put in properly and nothing is wrong with the installation it is all their responsibility. They can pay me 100% again. If I sold the clutch it is 100% my responsibility except for abuse. If the clutch company will honor the clutch I will honer the labor for 6 months.
The clutch Dino soar recommended cannot be beat. As for torque rating on the clutch I always went heavier. Someone on here pointed out that if your clutch lasted a long time it is good for the power you are putting to the ground and the clutch pedal pressure will increase with a higher torque clutch. My left knee would appreciate if I had done that.
So new easy pedal is first class. KW used to sell new clutches that they said they had their own mfg place. Believe they were called Pace Line. Never had a problem with those and the price was great for the first few years.
On reman clutches I never had a problem with an Eaton or a Mid America if it was the correct application.
The Mid America Solo is supposed to have an improvement over the original OEM deal as I was told. They may have been all hat and no cows but said they had customers have problems putting and easy pedal in that application. Volvo was broke and loaded refer was running in parking lot. No time for troubles.
If not in a bind I would have tried an easy pedal anyway. Just do not see how that could be a problem even though it has hydraulic application cylinder below the bell housing.
I tend to stick with what I know unless in a bind.RoadRanger^^, black_dog106, spsauerland and 1 other person Thank this.
