Love Dysarts. I am just taking a Canada only regional spot for my truck so my visits to Dysarts will be vacation from now on.

That was cool reading this thread. I really wish more sit down restaurants were still open. I don't have to play beat the clock and I'd kill for a good greasy spoon diner after getting empty. Get a nice nap and head home/reload for the next day. Not the crappy TA/McD's at the water gap. Going up NJ 31 still has a few open with truck parking but i don't run that much. Penn can diner exit 217 I-81is a good one but that's only 15 min from the yard and by then i ain't stopping for nothing.

Coming from someone who started driving new EPA ####, driving something older no matter what engine will put a big smile on your face

Im just heading into the diner at Big Cabin. I have been running the 40/44 lane quite a bit lately. Not sure where you run but there are a pretty good handful of "back then" diners on the "Old 66"

Next time your in my area on 81 I highly recommend Binghams, exit 211 on 81. Best pies this side of the Mississippi. Get a whole 1 or 3. Some guy named Obama had to make a stop there while he was up this way Lol. Killer meatloaf and chicken pot pies. Big ole dirt lot and you can fuel right across the street. Good ice cream joint about a 300yd walk too

The difference is back in the 70's we talked about how great trucking was in the 40's.

Haven't been to Dysarts in many years, it was a real good truckstop back in the day. Just curious though, do they still have the two separate dining sections, along with the looooong center table in the driver only section?
