Is this the beast you're driving?

-
Yup, that is it, just put the blue and purple graphics on the side and change the front grill to Daewoo and it is spot on.
-
another top secret mission from our in house 007. I think i'd quit over a mission like that!
-
Yeah I know, the purple graphics are a bit much aren't they.
The only difference between me and 007 is that I look good.
No seriously though, I can talk about most of the stuff I do right now in about 1.5 years so find me then and ask about future products then and I will tell what I really think of them and just how good they really are. -
Do you think these have a market in the US, given our distaste for cabovers, and it being so different than anything else on the market? Plus Daewoo brand name, not exactly a good brand name... I think Tata would be a better brand name, especially once people know they've bought Jaguar and Land Rover. At least the Tata name appeared in business news a lot doing impressive things like this billion-dollar takeover and that... unlike Daewoo which is synonimous with bankruptcy...

It would not be greeted with open arms if that is what you are asking. There might be a market for it here, but I don't think that they are going to bring it over here for sale.

I think it will be hard for a new brand to get ni to the Swedish market. I would say that over 90% of all trucks are Volvo and Scania (50/50) between them) en the rest is Mercedes and MAN. It´s all beacuse you can find service for Volvo and Scania everywhere but Mercedes and MAN you can be grounded for days waiting for spares.
Scania has a whery nice cab that is sold in Sweden if you google for pictures and Scania Longline you will find it. Scania R is cab over and T is not cab over. Scania has made the T since they started but they stopped manufacturing it just 2-3 of years ago.
The Scania trucks are i little bit more expensive than Volvo but is often prefered by drivers because the Scania cab has more space and a bigger bed.
Volvos latest automatic gearbox i really an unsyncronized gearbox controlled by the computer (The I-shift). Here in Sweden Volvo says in the commercial that a Swedish driver couldn´t use that gearbox manually...
