You all have answered my first question I asked about the markings on a 53' trailer with humor, speed, and precision and I appreciate it.
But now here's a different type of question that I haven't been able to find any answers on but would value different opinions of:
My tractor has R22.5 tires, my new trailer has 22.5 LP. Are there any inherent dangers I should be aware of such as wear and tear on drive train, rears, axles, bushings, bearings........or just replace the full set of tractor tires when it's time ?
Many thanks and you all be safe out there.

You've been a driver for 31 years & don't know that mixing 22.5's & 22.5 low pros will automatically launch you to the moon?

Every once in awhile the right post comes along--thanks for making me spit up a perfectly good cup of coffee

I thought if he only put new tires on on side it would work, but I'm not sure which side it is, and it depends on whether he makes a lot of left or right turns!

All the R22.5s on the right side and all the 22.5 low pros on the left... it offsets the crown in the road and the truck runs level.Working Class Patriot and Hardlyevr Thank this.

I say you will be fine. many trucks have 24.5 on truck & 22.5 on trailer. I had the same as you when I got my trailer. when came time to buy tires for trailer went to 22.5 & took off the l.p22.5 just so I can have 1 spare to fit all wheels.
-
I have 22.5 low pros on the tractor & 11R24.5's on the trailer.
-
Makes no real difference what tires are on either one. Not unless u had a height issue with the trailer otherwise just leave it the way it is.

I appreciate the good humor with some of the answers and I was looking for real first hand experience with the question as up till now, ALL my tires have been matched.
Glad I could add some levity to your day as I wish to avoid problems if at all possible with others first hand, knowledgable opinions.
My 31 years of experience doesn't mean that I'm so arrogant that I think I'm above asking questions from which I can learn something.
I'm not that proud or stupid.
Many thanks for your answers.
Be safe. J. Patrick
