Much depends on the deductible if it's good or not. From what little I know, I still think Melton Truck Lines has the best healthcare for driver and family.

What is SVTN? Could I become an owner/op one day going the saltwater trucking? I thought flatbed made real good money. I've heard o/o in flatbed talking about throw they make good money. I was also hoping to get into heavy haul trucking one day. Fuel transport also interests me quite a bit. Man the decisions I need to make are a little overwhelming.

I'd take the tanker job and be home every night get tanker experience then look for a better paying tanker job but that's just me I'm partial to tankers easier work and pay the same and more compared to flatbedding.

You realize there is typically a lot of overtime in oilfield work, right? To each his own, but there is no substitute in being home every day. It sounds like you'll find out though.

what you need TODAY is some experience
and keep your nose clean getting it
don't worry if the first company isn't the right fit
a year later many more doors open for you
some things are never going to be what you think they are until
    your actually doing it..........good luck

there are good oppurtunities in all sectors of trucking not just tankers and flatbed

Yes, I realize there is overtime, but I don't wanna take job just because I'll get home every night. I need experience and when I asked him what exactly would be my duties, it was kinda like listening to obama answer a question, he really wouldn't. So that being said I'm going to go with my gut feeling and see what opportunities come to me after some experience. And maybe even get enough experience to become an o/o but I might need more than 1 year of exp. for that, I don't know, I'm new to the trucking industry.
