Beware of Dillon Transportation - Ashland City, TN. During orientation, they inform you that you are not a Dillon employee, but an employee of Premium Staffing of Tennessee. At the DOT physical, their company doctor issued me a 3 month medical card because according to his chart, I may be a candidate for sleep apnea. I went to my own Doctor to be examined (because I know I do not have sleep apnea), and my Dr. faxed them a letter stating that I have no signs or symptoms of sleep apnea in order to have the test waived.
Premium's DR. said he didn't care...I take the test at my expense ($880.00 was the best price I could find) or he would not renew my medical certificate, pretty much firing me without using the term "fired".
Then the grand finale, telling me to pick up a load they knew I didn't have the hours to run. When I said I was unable to do it, they said a team was going to meet me and one of those drivers would use my truck to pick up this important load, while I waited for a 34 hour restart. What they really did was lie about using my truck and just took it back under that pretense and holding all my personal belongings hostage till I either get the sleep study done, or just leave the company. Now I have to negotiate to get my stuff back (laptop, GPS, CB, satelite radio, clothes ect...)
don't let this nightmare become yours too...avoid Dillon and more specificly, Premium Staffing.

THAT would have been the end of that orientation.

As an employee of Premium Staffing, Dillion can cut you loose anywhere in the world, at any time they want.

In a nutshell, you were a temp.

You should file a report with the police for theft of your personal property. You should
also go to another clinic and pay to have a DOT physical. If you pass it and dont have
sleep Apnea you may be able to file a lawsuit against this company and the person who said you did for malpractice and fraud.

Why would you let someone drive the truck away with such high value items still inside? You should have taken all your stuff out.

NEVER let the truck that has your stuff go away with anyone else unless you're in the hospital or jail! Even then you should have a bag big enough that laptop, and other expensive stuff can go into along with 5 pairs of clothing in case you have to bail! Even jails have a holding area for personal items! And as bigray said why didn't you just hit the sleeper? hats what it's made for...sleeping! Did they put you in a motel to reset your hours or set you in the drivers lounge at a truck stop? Please clear this one up!

Call the police and file a formal complaint. No different than a theft at your residence.

Then get your medical. If successful sue them in small claims court for your money back.

Please avoid all others companies that lie right from the start.

If it was me I'd at least taken the laptop. Sounds like you gave mr. Dillon a nice $1,000 "gift."
