I was going thru the post that @beltrans post and opened that link Dropbox. According to formula Type"F" (square wave input) my ppm is 25428 and you multiply 80 and divide 3600, that gives me frequency 565. So the dip switches goes as this , S2,5,6,7,8,10. Now this formula was simpler for me just now to figure out, BUT, is it the correct one ?

Type F says its a square wave, which typically means digital. A speed sensor on the transmission tail shaft would be more like #4 Type S I would think. The bottom formula for that calculation is to calculate your transmission revolutions per mile. That answer then goes into the top formula.

I've tried a few of these formulas and can't get any to work.

This is why I have up, to complicated for me. So how do I figure the tail spin of the end of the transmission ?

    473 x 3.36 x 100 = 158,928

    158,928 ÷ 87 = 1,826.76

(I used the info from your old thread, I'm assuming it is still correct. I don't know how many gear teeth are there exactly but for a .87 OD, 87/100=.87 so it should give the same answer)

1826.76 should be your transmission revolutions per mile in OD. Use that number in the formula. The pulses per revolution should be the number of teeth on the transmission. Before you change any of the dip switches, record what they are now (just in case I ####ed up in the math lol).

@prerunner404 if you could provide the info needed for that formula we can try and work yours out too if its a similar speedometer setup.

Tire revolutions per mile and the transmission overdrive ratio.

    It's a 295/22.5 tire I couldn't find a rev per mile. And od is .73

Ok.... Just did the math and I'm not even close. Yes btw, I still have the same set up. So my formula according doing the teeth gearing would be
    473x3.36x87x80 and divide into 3600.

Is there another number in that tire size? You might have to measure the tire diameter.
