    Hahaha!!! The first time is always memorable. It gets better, just never get complacent. I've been pulling frameless for years and its just another day at the office. Always make sure you are level, check your tires, don't let anyone distract you while you are dumping and don't dump if you don't feel it's right. Make it right, it's your arse if you lay it over! Happy trails and welcome to real trucking..... Frameless style!!!

    yea all our frameless have dummy levels on the front driver mud flap which is nice, I still keep an eye on the trailer though, ive been doing framed 26' for a while, but had to go where the money is, I mostly do roll off with this company, but roll off was slow so they stuck me in this. I feel better about it now that I put one up, the only surprise I had today was that the operators where I was dumping were actually decent guys and told me take my time and get comfortable.

    just make sure to keep an eye out for overhead lines. cuz your higher in the air now.

    i always kept an eye on the driver mirror. if the trailer tilted to either side before going up. i'd drop it back down and try for more level ground. we don't have dummy levels on end dumps in utah.

    hope your one that uses the trailer handle brake and not one of them that uses the truck park brake. seen lotsa tipsies from drivers that prefered the truck parks.

    I've been hauling dirt for 3 years in tri axle end dump straight trucks and I'd be having brown shorts with 36' in the air!!! Mine is a 22' box and it scares me once in awhile to make sure I'm still paying attention!

    If one of you guys have the time and feel like it: could you "explain" what "putting up a frameless" means, and maybe the difficult part of it.

    (I for one am curious to know what it means, and would appreciate it)

    nevermind: I get it: the hard part is having the bed so high in the air (right?)

    Putting a frameless up means a tractor trailer end dump and you are raising the bed and there is no frame on the trailer. the box itself is the frame. the hard part is not the height. a frameless dump is the most unstable of all dump trailers being there is no frame. when a frameless goes up the only part of the trailer that is touching the ground is the rear axle and the truck. whereas in a framed dump all axles on the ground and you have a frame that serves to help stabilize the trailer.

    Exactly. The less the unit weighs, the more material you can put in the box. Since most dump work pays by the ton, it's all about the $$$'s.
