This last Thursday, I was heading west on I24, saw a car on the east bound shoulder with a small flame coming from the grill. There was a young lady standing behind it on the phone. As I drove by, all I could do was watch all the trucks on her side just drive right by. Seeing as how I was on the other side of the interstate, only thing I could do was to call on the CB for somebody to stop and help, I didn’t even get a response.
What if there had still been somebody in the car? The flame looked small enough that a extinguisher (that every truck carries) may have put it out. I’m sure the car burnt to the ground and probably closed the interstate for some time.
I was physically ill, watching and knowing I couldn’t help, and nobody else would stop to help this young lady. If there had been a exit nearby, I would have turned around. No wonder the general public hates trucks. Those passing by that day are a piece of ****.
Disappointed in my fellow drivers.
