Why the attack on Watkins? Not like he was directed to apply there....

They don't care about the money.

They just wanna be big time, big truck drivers.

My question would be about the liability issues for W&S.

Say one of their new hires goes out and kills someone. Could W&S be held liable for inadequate training?

Learn how to spell... and no, I don't train.

As for the rest... try surfing over to the FMCSA website, and look up the rule making process for minimum training requirements.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but this has got me curious....

There are probably thousands of truck drivers without any structured 'training' that are doing just fine. Would the companies they drive for be more liable as well should a fatal accident occur?

I also wonder if the W/S program was so insufficient that they would have a terrible time getting insured.

Seriously, some of these outfits have trainers that have only been driving a couple months.

Talk about the blind leading the blind.

Could you provide a link for this. I checked on the proposed section and it had 2 about cell phones, one about HOS and exemption for anhydrous ammonia and not much else.

I am wondering if the plan you speak of would be some type of required training before a CDL would be issued.

    Thanks
