Dawn does everything. It's the only dish soap I'll buy.

It kills fleas (on a pet or in the carpet).

If you clean your glasses with it, they won't fog up.

Removes soot from a fireplace easily.

Removes stains from clothes in laundry.

Cleans brake dust off your wheels easily.

    Repels insects.

    Safe to clean tools with.

Can be frozen as a soft ice pack.

    Prevents poison ivy from spreading.

Cleans car leaks from the driveway.

    Lubricates door hinges.

    De-ices sidewalks.

    Removes permanent ink.

    Grill cleaner.

    Safe on laminate floors.

I could go on... BEST THING EVER.

And I have a friend who works in testing at P&G, Dawn Platinum and variations are really the same formula. Buy traditional blue dawn for the best results.

    And- - - - - - -It tastes really great!:p
One thing Dawn is NOT good for is dishwashers! I was operating HUA one night and filled the soap dispenser with Dawn rather than Cascade! OMG WHAT A DISASTER!
Note: If any one else here is as senile as I am, and does this, some Downey Fabric Softner in the dishwasher goes a long ways towards getting rid of the suds. After you get everything else cleaned up of course. . .:biggrin_2552:

I know a way to remove all traces of the oil, but I can't tell you. It's an ancient Chinese secret
