Ok this is what I did. I had a microwave a crock pot and a coffee maker. I would use most always disposable plates, storage containers and liners for my crock pot. Also disposable knives forks and spoons. Anything that need to be cleaned out and we were not ready to stop just yet I would keep water in the truck and antibacterial dish soap and rinse them out so they would keep until I was able to wash them. I would most of the time use the stainless steel sink by the beverage area. But sometimes they do not have hot water. So in that case. When we would shower that day I would take them into the shower room with me and wash them in that sink. Just use as hot of water as you can stand and the antibacterial soap and you should be fine. Never got sick. Oh get you some rubber gloves too. that makes the water not so hot on your bare hands.![]()

What i did was i loved my slow cooker, it was a teflon tin model, what i did after my meal was done and put away in cooler , i crank it up on high add water too it, and let go till hot, wash my silverwear, and rinse dry outside the truck the soap off ,i never did smell like food ether, course i was doing lot of grocery runs and there warehouse smell worst then a me smelling like food, but yes there several ways around this, one is if your company will allow it , is too get a colman stove, there real slim and two burner model and old pot u can buy at any second hand store for 50 cents, too heat water up,and i always cooked on the catwalk, if you cook inside , it will leave a thin oily film all over everything depending on what you cook and yes if you cause a accident becuse of sunlight coming thru a oil fimed windshield , im not sure but i think a smart lawer could use that against you, just rember too keep your weight in check, becuse anytime you add 5 gallons of water adds that much too your payload too
lunaglow Thanks this. -
NEVER use a fossil fueled cooking means inside a truck! It can lead to all sorts of fun and games, up to and including a visit from the local coroner. If you still insist on doing it though, make SURE you have adequate ventilation!
Otherwise, you just might ruin your whole day! -
This so sad about food in the truck, as this is what happen too me at a fl coop, and this was before 911 , or anything like that, i just got a load outa fl, header north, now before i left the house, i stocked up like over $250 worth of food in sealed bags and all my frozen stuff, i was good to go for the next 4 weeks or so i thought, anyway made it the fl coops , they said they wanted do a drug search, let there german shepard in there, walk around everwere in truck, his paws were muddy , they didnt care, then they ripped opean all my bags of foods stabbing and poking with there dirty pocket knives, then they made me sit there, till all my frozen stuff was thawed out, again looking for drugs, needless too say i was very late and fined a hefty 345 outa my pocket minus my food i had too toss, and wasnt for my back up bank account i woulda been very hungry , so shortly after that , i got a camping altlas and searched out all the mom and pops type resturants, i figure if they can get that bus in there, i can get mine in there too
