I would take a wild guess between 35,000 to 45,000

Compared to other jobs, not enough. It's why there's such a big turnover. The headaches, scheduling, calls at all hours of the night just isn't worth it.

To be honest, one of my former companies a night time dispatcher, I know for a fact, was making right over $75K a year. Yet, the drivers weren't making anything.

That’s more or less the exception than the rule. As someone who has both dispatched and drove 90% of the time the drivers are making more or well more than the dispatch personnel. Most companies pay quite low and the quality of the people hired reflects that. Obviously it’s home every day but once you factor in the aggravation of crappy shippers and receivers, crappy brokers, crappy drivers themselves, calls at all hours of the day and night along with the low pay it’s hardly worth it

I agree, $75g's sounds like the ad to get you in the door, it's generally a low skilled job, and many times, my dispatcher was the bosses cousin, with dismal results. When I was making $30g's as a company driver in the 80's, which was good pay then, dispatchers made around mid $20's. You can adjust it for inflation, but to me, it was a better deal to drive the truck.
