Ok then have everyone stop paying taxes, and the roads will just build themselves right? The fire dept. you pay taxes for will come put out your house on fire for free right? I guess you are going to give your social security check back to the govt when you get 70 cause you don't like the govt. right? Get real!

Don't know how this got political bit it's really not. You're thinking government is doing this??? You're really barking up the wrong tree and probably don't pay attention to much outside of screaming talking heads on the radio. This is on the companies. These "free market" people your talking heads love so much. Your "job creators". Anything to nickle and dime you or take away a bonus or knock you down a few pegs to show you that you're not in charge, but you blame it on the "gubmint". None of these things. E-logs, EOBRs, dash cams, etc, none of this came from the current administration or previous ones. This comes from shareholders and company owners and safety managers. Open your eyes and start pointing the finger where it should be: INWARDS. This is what you get when you let big money take over from the little people. They prove that they can #### with you anyway they want to and there is nothing you can do about it except blame everyone else. You want a little bit of change in this industry?? Start thinking for yourselves instead of letting a talking head do it for you. You'll be amazed at what you're blind to. And that's the end of my rant. Don't like what's happening then CHANGE IT.

Makes you wonder if the reason the OP couldn't keep his word or do his job safety and correctly was because he was busy making claim to fame YouTube videos on his 20 hour break....

Has there been any word on how KB handled this? Did the driver get fired or lose his paycheck? Did the dispatcher get any reprimand for poor handling of the situation?

There are so many factors we will never know about what happened here with Abe and K&B.
But we do know that Abe said he was done driving and falling asleep --next question should have been "what do we need to do Abe to get the load there and not kill anyone and not get me (dispatch) and the company in trouble for a late load".
Everyone blew it here -Abe and the company.

I wonder if you can provide me some proof that the driver did not try to sleep again.

I finally watched the video, I'm surprised that he would post it after the issue had already been resolved. Seems like a not so cool thing to do. This issue should have probably been resolved during the day instead of being dropped on nights, they have very limited resources at that time and it's hard to repower a load.

Should they have serviced failed the load? Yes. Will most companies accept nights allowing someone to service fail? No. Is it right? No.

Was he not upfront on the fact that he would not be able to do it?

Why should they service failure him, but not the idiot dispatcher?

Should the dispatcher have been severely docked in pay as well?

    pattyj and drvrtech77 Thank this.
