What exactly is a "super trucker"?

I'm not throwing rocks or being insultive toward any party, just stating on what I have found out over the years.

    I agree. This crew is laughable. Just like when Meltom asks;
How does 10 off + 20 miles driving + 10 off = 17 hours awake IF his 1st 10 was good like he said it was?
Answer: He didn't sleep 10 on his first 10. He was goofing off and not getting ready for his next shift. Only slept 5 hours by the sounds of it. Someone else had to pick up the slack.

No matter. Us responsible, professional drivers are getting tired of throwing pearls of wisdom before swine.

It's one of those dudes who rolls into the truck stop about 3 am in an old Pete ( that he's installed 10 inch open pipes on ) , and for some reason requires the engine brake used to slow the beast down.
    Wommmmmmp , Wommmmmmp, .

The love attention, the blast into the truck stop like Zeppelin hitting the stage .

You wanna be truckers seem to think that you should be able to watch videos of goodness knows what for 5 hours then call in tired and still get paid. No wonder he's afraid to leave that company he could never survive in the real world. I suppose he'll be posting on the O/O forum next month wanting to own his own truck. LMAO.

And you people are the same ones that complain immigrants are taking your jobs.

So you're saying Abe falsified his logs, he's the one that chose to not log those calls as on duty. Or like everyone else, he doesn't considered phone calls in interruption to his off duty status. You're trying to make a case out of something that isn't there.

I'll state again, he did the right thing by stopping when tired. He did the right thing by communicating to dispatch. Dispatch should not have pushed him. However they did find a solution that both parties agreed to. They should not have service failed him until the load actually failed. The should not have called the police.

So I'm not against Abe or K&B and I'm not for either of them. Let's take a moment and look at this for what it is, a driver and a company that do not agree upon expectations. But for some reason at the end of the day they decided to keep going forward, one accepting the blame. I can't imagine they expectation is not going to be any different, just that they wont tell him that they're going to service fail or ask him to keep running.

I swear, people. It's about as difficult as doing two 10 hour breaks back to back and then driving 6 hours.

Yep. That's a tough assignment isn't it Red? Not sure how we made it this far as a society. Some of these folks should be ashamed of themselves.

Look, I hate to burst the lawsuit bubble, but Abe doesn't have a legal suit....

    Why?

Damage. Abe has to have been damaged by K&B in order to have a legal case and to bring suit.

I guess he could claim mental duress/cruelty, but that is really pretty laughable....

K&B is not firing him, so no damage there....

Really, the only way Abe would have had a real case is if he HAD driven the truck AFTER dispatch had bullied him and IF, he had been involved in an accident resulting in real legal penalties, you know, like if he HAD KILLED SOMEONE.

So, K&B will keep him around for now, will kiss his tuchus, and will let him go when they have a legitimate basis for doing so....

I think it needs to be said that we did pretty good job through 588 posts of not getting this thread locked down over a pretty contentious issue. Kudos to you all. Especially the ones that I went toe to toe with and especially Meltom who kept a really open mind when reading my agruements.

FWIW, I was wrong. I thought they would fire him for the You Tube video but they appear to be willing to keep him around. Cheers everyone. Well done IMO.
