The second 10 aint the problem. Even if he didn't sleep at all on the second 10 he still should have only been awake ~11 hrs when he started to drive.

No, the problem is he didn't sleep enough on his first 10 off. He told night dispatch he got a good 10 hr break the first time but his numbers don't add up. That's what some of us have been saying all along and that's why the night dispatchers are scratching their heads.

He stated he was awake 17 consecutive hours....how is that possible? Anyone with their head out of their arse can see he is lying. And anyone can see he set them up and wasn't tired at all. He is a malcontent that didn't like the 2nd 10 hrs off so he took the load and held it hostage. And you guys idolize him.

The same dispatcher who threatened me for being safe is working tonight, even referred to me as "Mr. Sleepy" on the phone when I called in. K&B Transportation took no action in disciplining these dispatchers for putting freight over human life! I'm beyond livid right now!

Yet he is going to continue working for this menace to society trucking company. Go figure.

Link to what? It costs around $70.00 an hour (on the low end) to run a semi-truck which equals approximately $1000.00 per day.

Unbelievable. I can't believe he hasn't been fired for this stuff.

The last company I worked for was a LTL Refrigerated company that pushed me to run illegal after I politely told them that if I was involved in a fatal accident I would go to jail..

You would think they would have backed off but they continued and tried to break me like a (horse) animal. Every time they tried I became more and more bold telling them 'no'. I also had the joy of watching the dispatcher ( a real cave man) squirm when I walked by him in the office as did the owners of the company.

I was told over the phone to 'fix my book' since we were running paper. I finally got fired for refusing to work on my scheduled day off and they fought unemployment and won. So, now I can only wish that I would have recorded them. Once you have them on tape or film they're done, and they know it. And, the reason..the only reason why the owner apologized to you is because you have them recorded, and don't think for a second he played no part.

If you don't have an attorney start looking for one, they'll definitely be interested in recordings of law breakers, it makes them look good, plus it's an easy win for them. Do not make any deals with them like going into management without a contract signed with a lawyer, because they want to make an example out of you. The owner definitely wants to punish you, you be a fool to think otherwise. It's all a game btw, so play it smart. I'm with you all the way.

Back in the day when I was a dispatcher (for the record I'm not one now to prevent any confusion) I had a driver that took 4 hours to tarp an easy load. Square edges, flat top, 3 foot tall. No reason for it to take that long. He called in complaining about it and I suggested he switch to vans, flatbed wasn't for him he stood to make much more money running vans.
