Does not matter how legal you are, bottom line is if you're tired you're tired. So you think everyone that has a fresh set of hrs should be able to complete that load no matter what?So you would be figuring out how make sure it doesn't happen again huh?Dont you think the company should also figure out how to make it better?Or are they so perfect and put the blame on the driver?

OMG if you got a good night's sleep HELL YES! I almost think you are a troll with comments like that.

If you didn't get a good night's sleep then tell dispatch and we will work around it. If it becomes a pattern then we will look deeper. Why would anyone employ a driver than cannot drive 6 hrs after 20 hr break? And you think that's OK. Good grief I think I am going to puke.

Oh boy! Have you been following this thread? Never once did I say I wasn't making claims. I'm also not calling people out for making claims while I myself am making claims. That was the point of my post. Follow along now....

So for reals right, I've probably said it a dozen times. I think stopping was the right thing to do because safety trumps on time service. But if it were me I'd want to figure out what I need to do to ensure that I can meet expectations without having to compromise my safety. There are going to be times when things are not perfect and you have to make the best of a bad situation.

So if I were Abe, I'd be figuring out what I need to do to make sure I don't have these problems in the future. I'm not going to worry about what the company is going to do because I can't control that. If that means I have to communicate to my regular, daytime, dispatcher that I can't pull off a load after a long wait between when I started and when the load needs to roll than that's what I'm going to do. On the other hand I like money because it helps pays bills and buys food and stuff, so I want to run as much as possible for the time I'm away from home. Maybe that means that even if I'm not tired I try to sleep. I turn off the electronics, I shut off my phone, I pull my curtains shut and close my eyes and try to rest. Since I'm not Abe I don't know what he tried and what he didn't, I just know what I would try.
