So where did my post ever say run in violation of HOS or other regulations. Not at all. What it did say say was put on your professional driver pants, figure out the job and what it would take to do it. Then tell your dispatch what the reality is and that’s the way it goes. If they are not happy with that, not your problem.
As to getting home on time for your mothers services.
You are responsible for your schedule. You are the one who makes sure the dispatch people know when and where you need to be on what day and for how long.
If you did not keep up on this, that’s on you.
Sounds like you waited too long to step up and take charge of your schedule. Now you want to blame the company for not getting you where you wanted to be.
Old saying;
when you point at the problem, look at the rest of the fingers, might be where the problem really is.
Dispatches not legally possible. Do them anyway?

At the end of a 3 day 1500 mile trip sleep is required?? really I consider 1500 miles in 3 days pretty easy running, hell I do that easy on dirt roads.
