I shop almost exclusively at Walmart. Mine is convenient, clean, well stocked, reasonably priced, and has self check out. They provide employment to 100s of people in my community and have paid me several thousands of dollars to move their products.
I've got no problem with them, nor do I feel entitled to park my truck on their property.

If Walmart sucks, what comparable brick and mortar business is above reproach, and what makes you say so? How are they so much better? Inquiring minds want to know.

Wal-Mart does suck. But that's based of personal opinion and experience. For the most part they sale inferior products, both on the retail side and on the grocery side. My biggest pet peeve with them is their produce. I refuse to purchase fresh produce from them cause to often its almost spoiled so i can't buy things to prepare later in the week. i get all my produce and most fresh meat from publix. Yes out cost more, but what good is saving a buck on potatoes or tomatoes if i will have to throw them out before using them two days after purchase? If you shop for dinner every single day it wouldn't be a big deal, but id much rather go buy 4 or 5 days worth of dinners than every single day.

For can goods or frozen goods Wal-Mart is just fine. And i love the pick up thing. Until they started that in my area i grocery shopped exclusively at Publix, who delivers.

If a person needed to buy a pillow, bed sheets and a wastebasket for their kitchen and hated Walmart then where would they go?

Target or Kmart? Those 2 are just copycat stores that don’t allow truck parking so they must be out.

The low pay thing is a horribly dumb arguement. No one forces anyone to take a low paying job, Wal-Mart doesn't pay stock boys or cashiers any less than any other retail store. It is not Wal-Mart's fault that a grown adult has made such bad choices in life that they aren't qualified to do anything but stock shelves, a position traditionally held by teenagers and part time college kids.

Truck stops and every other retail take “food stamps” too. How is this a Walmart issue? They pay exactly what local citizens who will work are willing to accept. No more. No less. Same as the other businesses in the same community who are also looking for unskilled workers
