I don't do that, but I probably do stay in the right lane too long on hills.

Being an old timer I must point out that one of the things that have changed so drastically is the way drivers treat each other... Yes, it's a different breed out here now but there once was a time when drivers looked out for each other because we are all basically doing the same thing...Facing the same problems and dealing with the same authority... Didn't matter WHO you drove for it only mattered that you were out here driving that big truck on a big road... You were part of a community, a lifestyle if you know what I mean.. So yeah, Swift is a mega that hires inexperienced people to become truck drivers, they aren't the only one.. It's getting hard to sell our lifestyle to this new self entitled generation so the companies are ready to take anyone they can get but still... That kid in the Swift has 80,000lbs of freight moving down the road in a truck he basically lives in just like the rest of us.. It's in our interest to accept him and do what we can to teach him without being resentful..

    Don't you think so?

Yes I do agree with the post from the experienced driver. Hard to argue with the wisdom.

Steel Dragon and Trucker61016 Thank this.

Some of the disrespect you experience on the road could be linked to being a swift driver but there are ######## everywhere “disrespecting” other drivers. As for your ending lane fiasco. Your lane is ending. It’s your responsibility to merge safely. The driver could have moved over but it’s not his responsibility. If you cant speed up to merge you must slow down.

The road has become more disrespectful with each new generation in my opinion. the industry grew extremely large as well, had some to so with it.I recollect the 70's with the whole brotherhood of the road thing still going. 90's arrived with an evident decline in road manners, and not just truckers. 2017 the roads have become a battle ground full of me firsters. I myself have been given the bird for being polite and letting another go first.
