    I think I've given up on the topper grounding. I've already bonded the topper and all the sheet metal in it to the bed, the bed to the cab, and both of them to the frame equally on both sides with copper braided strap. Last night I took one of my 5-6" magnet mounts put it in the middle of my roof with the Stryker SR-A10 and it worked pretty well. Low SWR below 1.4 across all channels. I'm thinking of getting one of the Tram Tri-Magnet mounts so I can run my 102" and Spring. I know that Stryker center load was all that single magnet could handle.

    Dont understand the spring fasination..

    Just grab a 108 or buy a 102 and a 12"ext that will look like the tip mast of a big coil ant..It will make that whip waaaayyyy more tuneable
