Do all food distributors take forever to unload you?. I’ve been to a couple and they seem to take longer than general freight. Despite that I’ve also had general freight receivers take an eternity to unload me as well.

Food warehouses are notorious for taking an exorbitant amount of time to unload. That's why it's important to drive for a company that pays detention pay. Every reefer outfit I worked for paid stop pay for delivering the load and detention pay starting an hour later. I read where Freymiller just increased their stop pay to $50.00 which is way above average. From what I read, stop pay and detention pay is automatic, which means the driver is taken care of without all the pleading and begging for pay that's due.
