Let me tell you, if you run the speed limit on 95 thru NC/SC you better be in the right lane, those people take the I-95 signs as the speed limit sign, and they wonder why there's so many white crosses along that route. At last count, I counted 132 crosses from just south of Richmond Va to the I-4 cut off in Daytona. Can you tell I have too much time on my hands?

Yep. But the HP has been altered up to 550. and I love having a 13 speed! first OTR truck was Straight 10, then A super 10, but Love having the ability to split the top half!

i have my truck governed @ 85mph.most of the time i have the cruise set on 62/65,in a 65/70 zone.in a 75 zone i still do 65.otherwise i try to go 1 or 2 slower than the flow of traffic.on a hill, thats different.my truck doesnt slow down for hills,it maintains up,and down.if its a construction/school zone during the posted times, absolutley limit only. my truck gets 6.8mpg if i stay under 65.70 plus will get me under 6mpg.

Over the road, I typically kept it at 68. Kept the RPMs around 1450, I always got to where I needed to be on time, and I really didn't want to rev the RPMs particularly high with a 16 liter motor.
Now, the company I work for, they want us to hustle (within reason). So, in a 75, I'll do 75. Speed limits lower than that, I'll usually do five over. Residential neighborhoods, I'll do five under because doing the speed limit in the eyes of Joe Homeowner equates to blowing doors off the cars parked on the side of the road, apparently. -
73-74 all day long om 65mph roads no one ever messed with me about it 4 over everywhere else

Another zombie thread comes back...
Yes, I drive the speed limit. In the center lane. -
Drove 60 today, and I was such an inconvenience to you 75mph drivers! That extra 20 minutes and extra fuel burned was worth it right!!?
-
I will say that if you're driving 60 and the speed limit is over 60, then you do need to be in the right lane unless you are passing another vehicle. And yes, sometimes the extra 20 minutes means the difference between delivering on time and delivering late (or violating HOS).

My truck is governed at 78.... Regardless the sign posted and whatever it may be... I drive 78.
Haha no jk... It is 78, but I drive 3 over whatever the posted speed is... I'm on percentage so I try to move a taaaad faster.
